It's been quite a while since I've opened Flash, and even longer since I've made decent progress on anything I'm working on.
Too much of my time has been used up for robotics (However, it is the most fun I've had in a while) My team ranked second in the state competition yesterday, and we're going to nationals in two weeks. It doesn't look like I'll be doing much programming that isn't related to robotics for a while.
And then, of course, there's homework--I can hardly stand it any more, especially knowing that nothing I'm learning is going to actually help me later in life, aside from my math and science courses.
But this morning I opened my window and a warm breeze rolled in from outside and for a few seconds that "summer feeling" came over me. It's so close, it's unbearable.
In the summer I won't have to worry about school or robotics. I'll just do whatever the hell I want for a full three months.
Then again, I'm taking summer gym--a month of gym, six hours a day, every day, just to earn those silly credits for such a useless class.
But still, that's two months left.
An old friend of mine who moved away a few years ago will be coming back to visit for a week in June. That'll be fun.
And hopefully another friend of mine will fly up for a few weeks--someone I've never actually met in person but who has become one of my closest friends in the two years that I've known him.
And then there's all that time left for programming, biking, swimming, friends, relaxation, drawing, piano, etc.--wasting time away, enjoying that small period of time during the year where nothing else in the world matters but simply having fun.
This summer is going to be amazing.

I'm back from Texas. We came in second place at the Alamo Regional, and also won a website award.
It was an amazing trip--I had some great food and we met a ton of homeless people, an artist named "Dale" being one of my favorites. He makes crosses out of palm leaves and can make you a heart in thirty seconds.

I'll be in Texas from March 2-6. My robotics team is going there for a regional competition.

EDIT: (2/27/11 12:55PM) I'm dropping everything for a few weeks so I can develop a game for the BlackBerry PlayBook, which I will have done by March 15. Needless to say, TCTSTC will NOT be released that day.

Well, build season for my robotics team has ended, so I have more free time now than I know what to do with. I've been using most of my time to work on "They Came, They Saw, They Conquered" and I'm trying to hurry it along so I can get it sponsored and released by March 15.
The scheduled release of TCTSTC just so happens to be the same day Rise Against's Endgame comes out.
I also set up a Tumblr that will currently act as a TCTSTC development blog. I'll be updating that more often than I update my news posts. So follow me or something.

I've been working on it for the past week or so and I feel comfortable enough with it to post a screenshot and assure you that it will be completed soon--hopefully by the end of February but it probably won't be released until I find a sponsor, which might take months.
3000+ lines of code and 17 classes so far.
Also it is not a tower defense game. I wouldn't torture you like that.
Current Estimated Release/Completion Date: March 15
Also, 3.5 cool points for whoever guesses what the title is.
