The Palace of Auburn Hills: June 14, 2009
The warm up band was, "The Bravery", and I have to admit they were pretty good, but nothing compared to what was to come. While they were playing, we went to go buy T-Shirts. I got one of those special event shirts, with the date and tour name on it.
We then went back to our seats, and waited 40 minutes for Green Day to start. About 20 minutes before the performance, some idiot in a pink bunny suit got up on stage and started dancing, which was pretty hilarious. He left, and five minutes later--GREEN DAY!
It was awesome. Billy Joe is amazing, and extremely entertaining. After the first song, he says, "THANKYA JEESUZ! I THANK YA FOR MICHIGAN, JEEZUS! THANK YOU, JEEZUS!". Classic Billy Joe humor.
At one point, he calls for someone to go up on stage with him. He says, "I need a child. I like children."
Then, after a few more songs, he asks for some woman's crutch. It gets passed up to him, and he sings an entire song with it up in the air. He gave it back, after, of course.

He also asked for this one guy's Detroit Tigers hat, and sings a few songs with it on. When he was done, he chucked it into the audience. That guy's not getting his hat back.

Later on, he randomly pulled out a squirt gun and started spraying the audience with water. He grabbed this other guy from the floor, handed HIM the squirt gun, and took out... A toilet paper shooter. After wasting a few rolls, he gets back to the song.
My favorite part of the concert was when they sang "21 Guns". It's my favorite song, and they performed it 2000x better than in the album.

The concert was amazing, it was the most fun I've ever had. My ears are still ringing and my throat is sore from all the cheering.

PS: This is one of the people I went with, so... yeah.
THIS JUST IN: There actually was pot in/around the hat. When sifting through the YouTube videos of the concert, there were a bunch of people saying it smelled like pot in front of the stage.
