Wow. It came so fast! The betas will be released TOMORROW! AAAAHHH! Must... finish... runescape... minigame.... gaaaaa!!!! I hope you check back here TOMORROW EVENING for the beta. And if you're in some kind of strange time zone like in the middle of the ocean, you may get it a day late due to time zone issues. Well, er... that's it.. I'm totally freaking out right now!!!

Finally, my keyboard works, so this will be a nice, long update about the Windows Spoof beta.

I have all the security done for both versions of the Beta; I have my username splattered throughout the flash, and I also have some extra precautions like site-locking it and requiring a password (for the Private Beta, only).

The Runescape Part of it is really really cool. Like I said before, by the time it's done I could submit it as its own submission, but I won't.

This is the second installment of the daily record on my progress with the Windows Spoof. The Runescape Minigame is halfway done, and I plan to get it done by tomorrow evening (as long as I don't have too much Homework.) But, no matter what, I WILL RELEASE THE BETA ON SEPTEMBER 30.

Sorry to disappoint you, but this isn't the post where I release the beta of my Windows Sim. This is the post where I tell you stuff I've recently added. A new entry will be released every single day until the Last Day of September, when I will release the beta.

I'm currently working on the RuneScape minigame. It will feature music from the real game, plus some hilarious quests to go on. There will be around 5-10 areas to explore, plus easter eggs. The minigame will include a chat system, so you can chat with some bots to pass the time. I designed the minigame based on the OLD VERSION of runescape, not the new, better-looking one.

In the beta, there won't be as many sites as in the full version, but at least there will be some stuff to do.

Well, it's official. The Private and Public betas of my Windows Spoof are coming out This September. After months of work (and many more months of work before the REAL THING comes out), I finally have something to show for the hours spent in a cold, dark room filled with technology. The different versions of the betas are explained below.

Private Beta
Users will have TOTAL ACCESS to every aspect of the spoof, plus some extra goodies for their work. The downside to that is, they have to actually look for glitches and bugs inside the game, then tell me if they find anything. Sorry, but the Private Beta Sign-Up is already over. I will be giving the members of the private beta the link to the .swf file, which is protected VERY STRONGLY.

Public Beta
I'll be submitting this to Newgrounds, and it will be taken off when the real thing arrives. There is limited access, but nobody will be forced to play through the entire thing. I will be using the reviews to improve on anything in the game.

Remember, this is a collaborative effort, meaning I can't take all the credit for this. My partner, BrokenVoice, is also a very important part of the project. It wouldn't be as awesome as it is if it weren't for him.

Oh, and September 18th is my Birthday!

Alright then. Since I'm assuming you've already read about the other features of my Spoof, I'll list all of the new features I have added, and following that, I'll list the features I plan to add.

New features (already "installed")
- Tooltips! (those things that pop up if you hover your mouse over a button)
- The easiest game of minesweeper you've ever played.
- A anti-antivirus program!
- Newgrounds "forums" (not working forums, just funny threads I made up!)

New Features! (Currently "downloading")
- A mini runescape spoof.
- A DOS that can unlock cheats and easter eggs, plus some free downloadable content!
- Fake Downloadable content (using shared objects to remember programs and updates)
- Windows Update (I don't know what to call it yet)
- GarageBarf! It's like garageband, but for my fake OS

Ideas (Things I just thought of)
- A Flash tutorial website (with real flash tutorials)
- A working start bar (so you can maximize/minimize open programs!)
- Resizable windows. I don't know how to do this, put I plan to find out. (maybe using masks?)

I'm sorry to inform you that the beta for my Windows Spoof has been delayed. My partner doesn't think the beta is ready yet, so if you were expecting it on August 27th, you'll have to wait until September 18th (which also happens to be my birthday) to get your hands on it.
